Patsy MacCarthy-Morrogh started to paint
in watercolours, encouraged by her mother Kate Reade who was one
of the earliest members of USWA.

of birds.

Won the Ron Ranson rose bowl after his
course on watercolours in 1985.
Held a joint exhibition with 3 others
in Malone House, Belfast 1996
Painting of Ducks voted most popular
work in USWA exhibition 1996
In 2000, competed in Channel 4’s
Watercolour challenge and won the first heat.

Blacktailed Godwit (Watercolour)
Since then, has exhibited
in many exhibitions but have been too busy with commissions to hold
another solo exhibition.
Has recently been doing a great
many tile painting for behind cookers and stoves, and for shops,
using specially designed acrylic paints. Recent commissions include
Charolais cattle and Blackface mountain sheep on tiles for a butcher’s
shop, Simmental cattle on tiles for a breeder, a 6’x6’
landscape with horses for a billiard room, and also several watercolours
of dogs and houses.
