After graduating from the Art College
in Belfast, I worked in the Geology Department in Queen’s
University for many years where I had lots of opportunities to be
creative drawing illustrations and making displays. I now work as
an illustrator in the Archaeology dept.

Down from the light
I paint in watercolours.
Lots of subjects excite me:
Beaches, harbours and boats.
The 3D world of the sea, it’s depths, ledges, shallows and
rock pools.
Sunlight and shadows, glass, reflections and still water. And children’s
faces.
